Weakness Finder FAQ
- What hitzone value counts as a weak point in Monster Hunter Wilds?
- A physical hitzone of 45 or higher is treated as a weak point, which is what the Weakness Exploit skill keys off. Values below that still take damage, just without the skill bonus.
- How do I read a hitzone chart?
- Each row is a body part and each column is a damage type. Higher numbers mean the part takes more of that damage type. Compare the slash, blunt and shot columns to decide which weapon class to bring, and the five element columns to pick your element.
- Does elemental weakness equal the star rating?
- Stars are a quick summary, but the hitzone table is the real number. A three-star element on a part you can barely reach is worse than a two-star element on a part you hit constantly, so check both before committing to a weapon.
- Which weapon can sever a tail?
- Only cutting weapons — every weapon except Hammer, Hunting Horn, Bow and the Bowguns. The chart below marks which monsters have a severable part at all.
